I like skylines either in daylight or shining at night because a city’s skyline is what makes it unique. I chose this picture of Chicago’s skyline when I visited it last summer. I was there when the weather was really nice and sunny. It was a happy day overall that I like to remember.
Red has always been one of my favorite colors. I loved it before I knew what it symbolizes and when I learned that it represents joy, passion, sensitivity, happiness, leadership, courage, and good fortune I loved it even more. Those are characteristics that I see in myself. Hence, I chose this picture that captures the beauty of the color red in my favorite fruit ever, tomatoes.
P.S. The color of the baskets that hold the grape tomatoes is my second best color. I like the calmness of it and like the fact that this shade of color has so many names. It is almost impossible to describe accurately. What’s the name of this color to you? I’d love to know!
Sometimes you realize how much you have changed when you come across an old picture, other times you recognize that you’ve changed when you take a picture of your lunch! Few years ago, I would never eat a roast beef sandwich even if I were starving for many reasons, one of them believing that I would not like it. Traveling have definitely made me more open to trying new things. I am grateful for that.
I came across this quote by Martin Yan, the host of the TV show Yan Can Cook. I liked it and loved to share it so here it is:
People who don’t travel cannot have a global view, all they see is what’s in front of them. Those people cannot accept new things because all they know is where they live.
